Help

Overview of the application's main screen after sign-in — navigation bars, statistics, projects, and a step-by-step guide.

After signing in to Safety Software, the system opens the Dashboard screen by default. This is the main starting point for further work: you can search for projects here, launch the most common actions, check key metrics, and move to the next system modules.

At the top of the view, you will see:

  • the Safety Software logo,
  • the Menu button,
  • the Language language switcher,
  • a circular user avatar,
  • the Dashboard page header.

In a narrower view, you open the application menu with the Menu button. When expanded, the full side navigation appears, divided into logical sections.

Main section

In the Main section, you will find:

  • Dashboard - return to the start screen,
  • the projects module with actions:
    • New project,
    • Project list,
    • Documentation (PDF),
    • EU Declarations of Conformity.

Compliance section

In the Compliance section, the following are available:

  • Add audit,
  • Audit list,
  • Standards,
  • Manufacturers with the items Add manufacturer and Manufacturer list,
  • Authorized representatives with the items Add representative and Representative list,
  • Subscription & invoices with the items Dashboard, Pricing / change plan, and Company settings.

Account and help

At the bottom of the menu, you will find:

  • Help,
  • a link to report a bug,
  • the user menu with the account name,
  • the Settings action,
  • the Log out action.

Top part of the Dashboard

The first visible working block on the Dashboard contains the three most important elements:

Element Description Example use
Search project... Project search available immediately after entering the Dashboard Enter part of the project name or the machine model
Quick actions Drop-down list of the most common startup actions Quick access to an audit or standards management
New project Main action for creating a new project Start your first risk assessment

In practice, this is where the first two work steps are usually performed: finding an existing project or starting a new one.

Metric cards

Below the start section, there are four cards with the current workspace metrics.

Card What it means
Active projects Number of active projects ready for further work
Projects in progress Projects that are in progress and not yet closed
Audits Number of audits requiring action
Compliance score Percentage compliance indicator calculated from the data in the workspace

If the account is new, these card values may be 0 or 0%. This is normal until the first workspace data has been created.

Recently modified projects

Below that is the Recently modified projects section. This is a quick-access table for the projects that were worked on most recently.

In the table, you will see the following columns:

  • project name,
  • machine model,
  • status,
  • date of last change,
  • the Preview action for the selected row.

Above the section, the View all link is also available, which takes you to the full project list. In a new account, you may see a demo project here or an empty state, depending on the workspace configuration.

Guide to the first project

One of the most important elements of the Dashboard is the First project guide widget. At the start, it displays the current progress, for example 1/8, the name of the current step, and a description of what needs to be done next.

In the widget, you will see, among other things:

  • the Continue button,
  • the Minimize button,
  • the Hide for now (reopen with compass) option,
  • a checklist of steps guiding you through the first project.

In the current layout, the guide takes the user through the following stages:

  • Complete manufacturer details,
  • Create your first project,
  • Start a risk assessment,
  • Define machine limits,
  • Identify hazards,
  • Assess residual risk / protective measures,
  • Generate documentation (risk assessment report),
  • Generate EU Declaration of Conformity.

For the active step, a help description is also displayed. For example, for Complete manufacturer details, the system shows the hint: “Complete the manufacturer details (e.g., address). This ensures documents and declarations generate correctly.”.

The widget also shows the hint “Checklist only (click "Continue" to proceed)”. This means that the list itself serves as a checklist, and moving between stages is done using the Continue button.

How to use the Dashboard at the start of work

The safest way to get started after your first sign-in is as follows:

  1. Check that you are on the Dashboard screen.
  2. Open First project guide and see which step is active.
  3. If you do not yet have a project, use New project.
  4. If you want to return to earlier work, use the Search project... field or the Recently modified projects section.
  5. Move to the remaining modules through Menu.

The detailed behavior of the onboarding guide is described in the next section, 1.6 Onboarding Screen.
