Assessment
The standard for modern engineers:
Why professionals
choose Safety Software?
One safety standard
No more multiple versions of Excel files floating around the company. Enforce a uniform risk assessment structure for every project and every engineer. Your documentation always looks professional.
Documentation ready in minutes
The system automatically generates Risk Assessment Reports and EU Declarations of Conformity (DoC) based on the data entered. Save up to 70% of your time on formatting documents.
Full change history (Audit Log)
A detailed activity log. See who changed an HRN assessment, who added a hazard, and when protective measures were approved. Protect your company in case of an audit.
From innovative devices to production lines
No matter the scale of the equipment, Safety Software provides the legal framework to assess the risk of any product subject to the Machinery Directive or the Machinery Regulation (EU).
Commercial Machinery
Large-format and 3D printers, cleaning equipment, automatic car washes, and professional service equipment.
Robotics and Automation
Robotic cells, mobile robots (AGV/AMR), cobots, and complete automated stations.
Production Lines & Industrial Machinery
Complex production lines, CNC machines, presses, packaging lines, and internal transport systems.
Mobile Machines
Agricultural, forestry, and construction machinery, as well as interchangeable equipment for mobile machines.
Prototypes & Inventions (R&D)
Unique devices, R&D projects, tech startups, and special-purpose machines.
Electronics & Control
Safety-related control system components (SRP/CS), control cabinets, and logic circuits.
Your path to CE marking
Define and Identify
Define the machine boundaries and choose hazards from the built-in library (according to ISO 12100). The database is open — if you encounter a specific hazard not on the list, you can define it manually as a Custom Hazard, precisely describing its source and consequences.
Estimate and Reduce
Estimate the risk (e.g. using the HRN method). Select protective measures using the built-in suggestion library. The system will automatically calculate the residual risk and verify the completeness of the assessment.
Generate and Print
With one click, download a complete Technical Report and EU Declaration of Conformity in PDF format. The documentation is structured and ready for archiving.
ISO 12100: when safeguarding measures introduce new hazards
The article examines a critical design flaw: treating safeguarding measures as the final fix, even though they can introduce new hazards. Key risks of “safe” solutions: New mechanics: Adding a guard means adding mass and stored energy. A poorly installed guard can create new crush or impact zones. False sense of protection: Light curtains installed without verifying the actual stopping time (ISO 13855) create a misleading sense of safety—an operator may still be able to reach the danger zone before the machine comes to a stop. Built-in bypassing: Safeguards that compromise ergonomic working practices push operators to defeat or block them. That’s a design fault, not human error.
