An additional layer of account protection — a one-time verification code sent by email after you enter your password.

If two-step verification is enabled for your account, after you enter the correct password, an additional form for a one-time code will appear on the login screen.

Verification screen

On the Two-Factor Verification page, you will see a form with the text: „We sent a verification code to your email. Enter it below.".

Form

Field Description Example
6-digit code One-time code from the email 475502

Hint below the field: „Enter the 6-digit code from your email".

Step-by-step verification

  1. Open the email inbox linked to your account (for example, john.smith@example.com).
  2. Find the message with the subject „Verification Code - Safety Software".
  3. Read the 6-digit code shown in the message.
  4. Enter the code in the 6-digit code field on the verification page.
  5. Click the Verify and sign in button.

After successful verification, the system will redirect you to the Dashboard with the message: „Signed in successfully.".

If the code has not arrived, check your spam folder. Only then use the Resend code link shown below the form.

Email with the code

A message containing the following will be sent to your email address:

  • Header: „Your verification code"
  • Body: „use the code below to complete your login to Safety Software."
  • Code: 6-digit number (shown in large font)
  • Validity: „Code expires in" 5 „minutes"

[!WARNING]

„Do not share this code with anyone." Safety Software employees will never ask you for a verification code.

Additional actions on the 2FA screen

Two links are available below the verification button:

Resend code Sends a new code to your email address
Change account Returns to the login screen so you can sign in to a different account

After the code is resent, the system will display the message: „Code resent.". If you try again too quickly, you will see: „You can resend in ~:sec s.".
