When you finish working in Safety Software, it is best to end your session using Log out. This is the safest way to leave the application, especially if you are using a shared computer or finishing work in the office, at a customer's site, or at a test workstation.
Simply closing the browser tab is not the same as fully logging out. The recommended way to end your work is to use the Log out option from the user menu.
Where to find the logout option
On Pulpicie and in other logged-in views, a circular user avatar is visible on the right side of the top bar.
To end the session:
- Click the user avatar.
- In the expanded menu, choose Log out.
- The system will end the active session and take you to the public logout screen.
In the same menu, you will also find the Settings option, so make sure you select Log out.
What happens after you click Log out
After selecting Log out, the application displays a screen confirming that the session has ended. In the center of the page, you will see:
- the heading Logged out successfully,
- the message Your session has been securely terminated.,
- the additional information Thank you for using Safety Software..
This screen confirms that the session has ended safely and that you are no longer working on a logged-in account.
Available actions after logging out
Two main buttons are available on the final screen:
| Action | Meaning | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| Log in again | Return to the login screen | When you want to log in again right away |
| Home page | Return to the public home page | When you are done working and leaving the panel |
If you want to return to the application later after logging out, you always start a new session from the Sign in screen.
How to end work safely
The safest way to end a session is as follows:
- Save your current changes in the forms or modules you are working on.
- Click the user avatar in the upper-right corner.
- Select Log out.
- Wait until the Logged out successfully screen appears.
- Close the tab or use Home page.
When logging out is especially important
Logging out should be standard practice especially when:
- you are working on a shared computer,
- you are using an administrator account,
- you are done working with project, manufacturer, audit, or documentation data,
- you are switching between users in the same browser.
What to do when you return to the system
If you want to access the panel again after some time:
- Open the login page.
- Click Log in again or go manually to the Sign in screen.
- Log in again according to the instructions in section 1.2 Logging in to the system.
After logging in again, the system will return to standard working mode and will display Pulpit again or the next screen resulting from your workflow.
